Condes de Albarei La Huida Albariño, DO Rías Baixas

La Huida is a fresh, vibrant Albariño from Condes de Albarei, a well-regarded estate in the Salnés Valley, at the heart of the Rías Baixas region. The grapes come from pergola-trained Albariño vines grown on sandy soils and are carefully selected before being hand-harvested into small 20kg crates, then sorted again at the winery.

Fermentation takes place for around 15 days at 16–18°C using wild yeasts, with partial malolactic fermentation also occurring naturally. The result is a bright, modern Albariño with expressive aromatics and a crisp, dry finish that makes it especially food-friendly. Expect notes of stone fruit and orange blossom on the nose, followed by peach, lightly tropical hints, tangerine, and a zesty citrus lift on the palate.

Dry, fresh, and clean through the finish. Food pairing: ideal with seafood of all kinds, as well as grilled vegetable dishes. Serving suggestion: serve well-chilled, around 8–10°C.
