Giesen Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc

Giesen Pure Light Sauvignon Blanc is an innovative lower-alcohol wine from the renowned Giesen brothers, pioneers of New Zealand winemaking since 1981. This clever creation delivers genuine Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc character with 50% less alcohol and 45% fewer calories than traditional 12.5% wines. Made from classic Sauvignon Blanc fruit batch-harvested at perfect ripeness in Marlborough's favourable 2023 vintage.

The grapes benefited from cool evenings during the growing season, resulting in slow flavour accumulation and vibrant natural acidity. Winemaking Innovation: After cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks to retain purity and freshness, the wine spent 3 months on lees to build texture.

Using gentle spinning cone technology, some alcohol was carefully removed to achieve 6% ABV whilst preserving the wine's full flavour profile and aromatic intensity. Tasting Profile: Crisp and refreshing with pure tropical fruit and citrus flavours alongside nuances of freshly cut herbs.

Natural sweetness is beautifully balanced by Marlborough's signature zesty acidity, creating a wonderfully balanced, lighter-in-alcohol wine that doesn't sacrifice character.
