Trade account FAQs

Who can open a trade account?

Trade accounts are intended for qualifying hospitality and licensed businesses such as pubs, bars, restaurants, hotels and event venues. Contact us with a few details about your business so we can confirm suitability.

What is the minimum order?

The normal minimum for free local trade delivery is two cases, equal to 12 bottles. We will confirm the delivery terms for your postcode when the account is set up.

Can you help create or refresh our wine list?

Yes. Lists are created in-house and can be shaped around your menu, customers, style and target price points.

How do I see trade prices?

The public shop displays consumer prices. Qualifying customers receive trade pricing and will need to sign in to their approved account to see or use the relevant prices online.

How quickly can an account be opened?

Account setup is usually straightforward and can normally be completed within a few working days once we have the necessary business details.

Getting your wine to you

Choose the delivery option that suits you.

From a local delivery around Grantham to a carefully packed mainland UK order, we will show the available service and price before you pay.

Local delivery

Within approximately 20 miles of Grantham, delivery is free on orders over £50. Orders under £50 carry a £5 local delivery charge.

Mainland UK

We use a tracked courier service for mainland UK orders. The exact delivery charge and available option are shown clearly at checkout.

Collection

Prefer to collect? Place your order and contact us to arrange a suitable collection time. Please wait for confirmation before travelling.

The charge shown at checkout is the charge you pay. Highlands, islands and other remote postcodes may take longer or require a different service. If the website cannot calculate your delivery, please contact us before ordering.

Dispatch details

What happens after you order?

We pack each order carefully and keep you informed if anything changes.

01 Processing and dispatch

Orders placed before 11am on a working day will normally be processed that day. Orders placed after 11am, at weekends or on a bank holiday will normally be processed on the next working day.

Most mainland orders arrive on the next working day after dispatch, but courier delivery times are estimates rather than guarantees. We will send tracking information when it is available.

02 Age verification

Alcohol can only be purchased and received by someone aged 18 or over. Our courier may ask the recipient for photographic identification if they appear under 25.

03 Stock or vintage changes

Wine is a changing, limited-stock product. If a bottle or stated vintage becomes unavailable after you order, we will contact you to agree a suitable alternative or refund that item. We will not make a material substitution without speaking to you.

04 Missed or delayed deliveries

Please use the courier tracking information to rearrange a missed delivery. If tracking has not moved, the parcel appears damaged or your order has not arrived when expected, contact us and we will investigate.

Cancellations & returns

Changed your mind? Here is what to do.

For online consumer orders, you have 14 days after receiving the goods to tell us that you wish to cancel. You then have a further 14 days to return them.

Arrange the return

We will explain the safest return or collection method. Bottles must be unopened, secure and in good condition.

Receive your refund

We will issue any refund due within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or receiving evidence that they were returned.

Delivery and return FAQs

Can I cancel before my wine is dispatched?

Yes. Contact us as quickly as possible. If the order has not left us, we can cancel it and refund the order and delivery charge. If it has already been dispatched, the normal cancellation and return process applies.

Can I return only part of an order?

Yes. Tell us which unopened bottles you wish to return. Original delivery charges are not normally refunded for a partial change-of-mind return because the rest of the order has still been delivered.

Do you offer free returns?

For a change-of-mind return, the customer pays the direct return or collection cost. If the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, Wriggly Tin Wine covers the reasonable return cost.

When will the refund reach my account?

We issue any refund due within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or evidence that they have been returned. After we issue it, your payment provider or bank may take a few additional working days to show the credit.

Do these terms apply to trade orders?

The statutory 14-day change-of-mind right described here applies to consumer purchases made online. Trade customers should contact us because their account and supply terms may differ.
